BUILDING HEALTHY COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS

Hello, and welcome!   I've had an interesting career in art for over 20 years in the Milwaukee, WI area.  I also have a part-time art installation business since 1990, which often takes me into hospitals, clinics, restaurants, various corporate offices, and residences.  Eventually, I came to East Texas to work with my father, who built homes here since the early '80s. However, I have always loved media and art, and soon I found myself in publishing.  I launched a monthly publication, "STROLL" for the Hollytree community in 2012, which I still own and operate.  Meeting many of the residents in this community and many business owners across East Texas, I soon found a new passion for publishing.  I love meeting people and learning about them, their business, and their interesting stories and experiences. 

The many years of installing art in hospitals and clinics I often witnessed behind the scenes of a clinic at times.  I've seen physicians spending long days trying to squeeze everything into their day while throughout the day, dictating their work into a recorder or filling out paperwork.   After being in East Texas since 2009,  I soon noticed the growing need for media that could help connect the growing medical community here in Tyler. 

• Most doctors, despite their discipline, operate on an island.  They spend their days walking from “Room 1” to “Room 2” to “Room 3” with mountains of paperwork in between.  Even if they wanted to be a part of a community... who has the time?
• Each person these medical leaders encounter during the "1, 2, 3, paperwork" routine wants something from them.  The patient wants their care, the staff wants their attention/advice, and of course, sales reps want their money.

The question then begs, who is serving our medical professionals?  Who wants nothing from them except to honor them?   Who will help us build and connect this community? 

Medical Professionals Tyler provides our community with a platform to do just that!  MP Tyler's vision is to connect the top physicians, specialists, healthcare leaders, and hospital executives in a new and refreshing way.  Tyler hosts one of Texas' most respected healthcare systems and is growing very quickly.  However, “community” over the varied disciplines is lacking.  Maintaining relationships and staying informed is time-consuming, and it takes effort.  

At Medical Professionals Tyler, we can change that by connecting the lives and professions of our doctors to their colleagues.  We believe that by creating a connected healthcare community, we will positively impact quality healthcare for patients, putting the 'human' back into healthcare.

I'm excited to celebrate the innovators, the movers and shakers, and leaders throughout the medical field that keep our community learning, growing, and thriving!  I'm grateful to my partners and the businesses who support this medical community and make this all possible!  Our medical community deserves to be more CONNECTED - INFORMED - and CELEBRATED!
